Management By Strengths (MBS) is a program designed to help companies increase productivity, improve customer satisfaction and employee morale through an improved understanding of how to work more effectively together. MBS skills enhance team building throughout an organization.

People are the most valuable resource of any organization.  Successful teamwork doesn't just happen.  Teamwork is the result of positive working relationships.

MBS will help you better understand people's differing communication and decision making styles, so that you can more efficiently achieve your goals.

The traits of a person's temperament are often times easy to identify if we simply pay attention to different characteristics. The pages describing the 4 Traits will help you to identify and better understand the different "Personalities" of your co-workers, customers, friends and family. Each page lists specific characteristics and provides easy to follow suggestions on how to immediately improve your relationships.

If you've been through the Management By Strengths seminar, or even if you haven't, many of the different pages will be helpful as you share the program with others.  Once you've taken the survey, the page covering the MBS Profile Report will help you to better understand the results. There are links explaining each section of the report.

The MBS Introductory DVD is a relatively inexpensive way to "experience" Management By Strengths Training. This 90 minute overview covers the basics of improving relationships through focusing on the temperament and communication style of the other person. An improved understanding of coworkers, customers, family and friends is an immediate result of MBS training.

For companies regularly conducting MBS Training the Introduction can be a valuable tool, providing a quick and easy way to present the MBS program to new employees. New employees can then attend the full MBS Fundamental course the next time training is conducted.

For an overview of MBS, you can watch the introduction segment of the ASTN (Automotive Satellite Training Network) video series "NEW Management By Strengths w/ Mike Postlewait".  Just click on the TV.

The "Selected Articles" page is a collection of memos, newspaper and newsletter articles written over the years discussing how the MBS program has been used.

For a practical example of how a better understanding of temperament improves customer satisfaction, read "Management By Strengths: A Success Story."

The MBS Program addresses Diversity in a fundamental way.

MBS teaches that through a better understanding of a person's communication style ... their temperament, we are equipped to work more effectively with that person.

With the current emphasis on "Diversity Training" and "Cultural Sensitivity", The MBS program is an excellent starting point.

Temperament is "Diversity" at it's most fundamental level.

The term "Personality Profile" is frequently used, but TEMPERAMENT is even more basic. Many things go into forming a person's "personality"  such as environment, upbringing, integrity, education, faith, job skills, etc.   MBS goes deeper and focuses on each person's underlying temperament, which is the foundation upon which the personality is built.

An understanding of Temperament helps break down many of the racial, gender, social and communication barriers that often have stood in the way of people working together.

As we set new business challenges, we must also incorporate new tools into our work processes which will facilitate achievement of our goals.

MBS helps us to say to each other, "This is the best way to work with me and I under-stand the best way to work with you." MBS supports open communication and more productive interaction.
